Major uses

1. Perfumery, particularly Soaps & Detergents, Agarbatti Perfume, Perfumes & Attars etc.
2. Used in large quantities in perfumes & fragrance for Soaps & detergents
3. Manufacture high-temperature lubricants & surfactants
4. Heat-transfer medium resins for laminated electrical insulation; chemical intermediate for such reactions as Halogenations, Acylation, Alkylations
5. Employed as a processing aid in the production of polyesters; several poly bromine derivatives...are used as fire retardants
6. Used as chemical intermediate for producing fire retards for brominated plastics, polyester dye carrier, , process aid and general intermediate
7. Intermediate in producing DOWFAX surfactants
